Sound healing being used today in Orthodox Medicine

Sound healing being used today in Orthodox Medicine
Sound Healing Therapy and music therapy as a healing medium are some of the oldest and simplest forms of healing therapy and are still being used today in most countries by both orthodox medical professionals and complementary practitioners and therapists.

Vibrational medicine in the form of ultrasound is widely used in modern medicine today and much research has been carried out into its therapeutic properties for the treatment of many health conditions such as, cancer, gangrene, kidney stones and blood circulation to name just a few.

NIH National Library of Medicine Research into healing music

According to one NIH National Library of Medicine one research article / excerpt included scientific studies into the changes in the bioelectrical brainwave activity that occurs while listening to music. Brainwave spectral analysis, derived from findings of electroencephalograms, provided deep and objective insights into the effects of music on the brain. Research such as this into the possible healing affects of music is invaluable and encouraging for sound healing practitioners and those involved in the area of sound or music healing therapy.

Brainwave spectral analysis is being investigated in various contexts

In comparing to a healthy population, studies also seek to determine the impact of music in such conditions as disorders of consciousness, psychiatric diseases, and chronic conditions, as well as to further explore the role of music for rehabilitation purposes.

Supplemental investigations in this field are needed not only to deepen the knowledge of general neurophysiology of listening to music, but also to possibly open new perspectives for its broader use in clinical practices.

The healing properties of music

Continued research and widespread studies are needed to provide even more scientific proof for the efficacy and healing properties of music, sound waves, vibrational medicine, and the use of sound healing instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, shruti boxes, hand gongs, chimes, bells, chanting and the use of our voice for healing.

At our Advanced Sound Healing School our team have been researching and developing sound healing techniques, applications, sound healing vibroacoustic therapy tables, plus composing and creating vibroacoustic audio files and frequencies, deep sleep music, relaxation music and meditation music for over 30 years.

Creating sound healing workshops & courses

Over the three decades since heal.ie was founded in 1990, creating sound healing workshops and online diploma courses has been at the forefront of our research and development. In more recent years the popularity of online zoom workshops and courses as a presentation platform has allowed us to develop and present music therapy training, and sound healing therapy training to a much wider global market.
Now with the help of the latest technology our training school are presenting sound healing workshops and sound healing online diploma courses via zoom starting in May 2023.
